In the winter, we make puppies........

Our ladies are coming in heat, and we are determining if we will breed for winter 2023 pups. Get in touch via [email protected] if you would like to know more about upcoming litters. Our OakMoon Farm Facebook page has lots of photos of previous litters.

Our English Shepherds have been among our most-valued partners here at the farm when we were dairying.  Our loving pets as well as farm helpers, they have wonderful temperaments, love the grandchildren, and are respectful yet reserved with strangers until we let them know all is well. They have medium to low prey drive, meaning they are more thinkers and problem solvers than single-minded herders. Our dogs are very biddable, meaning they have a great willingness to learn and wish to please us. They are rat and varmint dogs, discerning farm protectors, friendly greeters for welcome visitors, pig wranglers, goat behavior specialists, expert face-lickers, and lots of comfort to tired old goat farmers.

Puppies from our litters have become loving family dogs, companions and personal protection for seniors and singles, hiking companions, and of course farm dogs. We evaluate prospective owners as well as the puppies we have available to make sure to make the best match possible. A puppy contract is required with each puppy purchased.

Puppies are registered with The English Shepherd Registry and will be temperament evaluated, vet checked, be on a worming schedule and have first puppy vaccination. We require a signed puppy agreement at the time of the reservation of a pup. If you are interested in future litters, please contact us by phone or email (form below).
